  THEY act like the ones who are hurt??!!

  it really amazes me when jws act like we are hurting them!.

  many of us have found that if we stop associating with them for valid reasons, they act all upset and hurt that we would be "so cruel as to limit our association or cut them off".

  i know of friends here on the forum who have been told by parents that they "will shun them if they leave jehovah" , and yet when the shoe is on the other foot and our awake friends shun them first, the parents cry and bemoan the situation and say how "cruel it is to deprive them of their company".

  There is No Way Out For Me

  i have come to the conclusion that there is no way for me to ever leave.

  although i have some friends at work, my whole social structure are witnesses.

  even if i move congregations, my parents have contacts everywhere who will tell them if i’m not active.

  What everyone else says is great....

  One thing I did when leaving, to keep people off my trail (like being hunted) was just "turn in time"... that means I didn't even go door to door... I just wrote numbers on a time slip, it's very freeing, haha. After all, if there is no Jehovah, or if JWs are not the "true religion", it is all a bunch of bunk, and you are just playing a game..... so "play the game" and write numbers on a piece of paper.

  Second thing: when you DO move out (will you still be in the same hall?) you can have excuses... "My water pipe broke" "Traffic held me up" "I got a headache from my boss" "I felt nauseated" and no one will know. No one can see... Just spread these events out at first. Come late to the meeting "Boss had me work longer, was witnessing to someone, had a bad traffic jam" ... Do NOT answer at the meetings, sit in the back, leave right away.... this will make you 'less seen', less noticed... you will become a ghost.

  You can always add in an appearance of "I am doing great" from time to time... Hopefully, you will be going to a new hall. That would be great!

  i love watching the jw cart crashers on youtube and how the zombie, brain dead, we are so much better than you jdubs react.

  when they do talk a little about the two witness rule they will mention the need for proof and the testimony of the poor child is just not enough to take the inquiry any further.. the reason for calling the police is immediately is that dna can be gathered from the poor victim.

  this evidence is the second witness used for prosecution.

  Very true, SG, pedophilia is a crime, and police handle crime.

  In our hall, when a Ped returned from prison (most of the congregation had no clue) it was only after a real estate agent saw him on Megan's list did anyone know. She was so mad. BUT, her husband, I believe, was an elder.

  You are correct.. Kids outside of the religion ate ALSO put in danger.

  WT has a "me first" attitude.

  Watchtower is a very well tuned "LEGAL" corporation.... It answers questions, and directs it's 'members' / clients to respond to questions in a very "I am not going to tell you anything more than you ask me, and if you don't ask the right question, I am not going to help you out" manner.

  When I went to see the Candice Conti appeal trial, the judge asked Jim McCabe "Who puts the field service lists on the 'bulletin' board for all to see and use?"

  Now, the point the judge was trying to get at was: Do elders make the list? Did elders assign Candice to work with Jonathan Kendrick? If they DID assign her to work with them, and they knew about it, then ....

  However, Jim McCabe (WT lawyer) answered the judge directly and sneakily, basically saying: 'Anyone can put it on the board, even a little kid can pin it up on the board, people walk by that board all the time'

  Is that "true"? .... TECHNICALLY, yes (the kid would get in trouble, and most kids/ women/ teenagers do nothing to that board) But he did not volunteer that elders make the list, and assign book study/ field service groups, and I don't believe he was asked a further question about it.

  Loesch: All of us consider him to be a part of the "Watchtower, Bible and Tract Society", we would say he has influence, right? After all, he is a 'GB' ... However, WT is structured with many corporations, many names, many positions so that IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT, or if you do not ask the EXACT question, the EXACT way, you will get no help from them. The lawyers know this, and helped Loesch reply. He could/would have been subpoenaed if he did not answer this correctly. What Loesch said was "technically correct"

  Yes, the WT knows EXACTLY what it is doing.

  Perhaps because he used students in his study, and maybe students are of a certain mindset "just starting on their life journey" and "young" haha, and ALSO that the Protestant faith is not that 'prohibitive' (unlike JWville) that it only affected them in a way that anything else would... Perhaps freeing them from having to think of "what if I do something wrong" or "what if God doesn't like me".... but I am not sure most "other" religions realllllly think about that.

  True? not true? They certainly did not have the strain of worrying about going to hell when they die.

  It sounds as if the tide is turning in the courtroom. These lawyers have helped the obvious to be seen:

  WT is not the police. WT is not the court system. WT is not the law.

  Stop letting them think they are, and make them do what any concerned, loving, caring person must do. Report the crime to the police.

  JW's are slaves- but not in a good way

  i was reading about the american slave trade again recently.

  as anyone who has read anything about the subject knows, it makes for very uncomfortable reading.

  every time i read the history, i'm left with a sense of outrage and seething anger at the pure inhumanity and injustice of what life must have been like for those people.

  Beard update

  so it's been over a month since i decided to grow a beard.

  the mustache and chin have come in fuller than i ever imagined - while the cheeks leave me wondering if i'll ever grow enough hair to make it not look so wildly unkept and patchy (if anyone has any advice here it'd be much appreciated).

  but in the mean time i'll give it another month and see how it goes.. .
